Jonah & Allison's Winter Wedding

Jonah & Allison were married on a very VERY cold December day.....the weekend right after Christmas to be exact! Despite the frigid temperatures, we were able to get some beautiful outside images.

On the morning of their wedding, I arrived at the church around 10:30. I had a second shooter for this wedding, which was extra fun! We started off with the detail shots and getting ready images. Before Allison had her first look with Jonah, she had a first look with her dad, which was very special! Allison is the oldest of 3 girls and the first to get married in the family.

Following the first looks, we photographed in the church before heading to Moorehead Park, just outside of Ida Grove, for the outdoor images. Let me tell you - Jonah, Allison and their wedding party were troopers! It was about 15 degrees while we were in the park that day! We were lucky to have a little bit of snow the day before, which was just enough to turn everything white for them.

Following their ceremony at St Paul Lutheran Church in Holstein, Iowa, we headed back down to Ida Grove for their reception at the Skate Palace. I photographed into the dance about a half an hour, which gave me the perfect amount of images to tell the full story of their day!
